Charles and Kathy Strother

For the past 20 years, Charles has operated the family farm where he grew up in Delaplane, Virginia. A graduate of Randolph Macon Academy and Virginia Tech, he served for three years as an officer in the U.S. Army Infantry and served for an additional 20 years in the Army Reserves. He spent 25 years in the life insurance industry, owning a life insurance agency and holding the Chartered Life Underwriter designation. During this time he also managed Little League baseball teams and served as a Cub Master and Scout Master with the Boy Scouts for 10 years. Charles also attended Virginia Theological Seminary, taught Sunday School and served as a home church leader. He is currently a licensed minister with the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening. He and Kathy have two grown sons.

Kathy grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and graduated from Spotsylvania High School and Virginia Tech. During her college years she worked as a playground director in her community each summer. From a very young age, Kathy became aware of a strong call to serve the Lord. She received Biblical training through the Bible Club movement and many seminars and conferences she has attended. She taught elementary school and Sunday School, worked in the summer with Children's Sand and Surf missions and held neighborhood Bible clubs and camps.
